Higher education
University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh
A liberal arts university founded on the belief that education is infrastructure.
Core capabilities
Built to do a few things exceptionally well
ULAB was established by the Kazi Shahid Foundation and has grown into one of the leading private universities in the country.
ULAB was founded on an unfashionable idea: that a country building roads and factories also has to build the kind of mind that can ask what they are for. It teaches a liberal arts curriculum inside professional degrees, not instead of them.
The university is owned by the Kazi Shahid Foundation, which means surplus goes back into scholarships, faculty and the campus rather than out of it.
