The business the group was founded on. Vessel construction and repair, capital dredging and marine structures, delivered along the rivers and coastline of Bangladesh since 1979.

Marine Engineering Ltd is where Gemcon started, and it still sets the standard the rest of the group is measured against. The yard builds and repairs inland and coastal vessels, fabricates the steel that ports are made of, and keeps river channels open with a dredging fleet that works year-round.

We do not simply maintain equipment — we engineer reliability. Every hull that leaves the dock has been through the same inspection regime, whether it belongs to a client or to the group.
