Confectionery

Gemcon Sweets

Traditional confectionery held to a modern food-safety standard.

Core capabilities

Built to do a few things exceptionally well

Bengali sweets made the way they have always been made, in a plant audited the way a pharmaceutical plant is audited.

Bengali sweets are a craft, and we have not tried to industrialise the craft out of them. What has changed is everything around it: the milk is tested on intake, the kitchen is temperature-controlled and every batch is coded.

The result is a sweet that tastes the way it did at a neighbourhood shop forty years ago, with a shelf life and a hygiene record that shop could not have offered.

  • Traditional confectionery

Chhana, sandesh, roshogolla and seasonal specialities made by hand.

  • Audited hygiene

Milk testing on intake and batch coding through to the counter.

  • Festival production

Volume capacity for Eid, Puja and the wedding season without dropping standard.

  • Retail & gifting

Own counters plus corporate gift packing to order.
